Beats & Bytes: On The Music Grind

In Beats + Bytes by Nue Agency

This weekend I was on site at Big Sky Ranch to see Luke Atkins jump out of an airplane from five miles high with no parachute. This incredible event was broadcast live on television all to help launch the new Stride Gum.

What a jaw-dropping activation. It captured the eyes of millions around the globe, with countless views and shares the day of and for years to come. What a savvy way to monetize the marketing spend. There was even a theme song created by rising star Raury who stayed at the The Hollywood Patch while writing it. He then flew out Seattle to do a practice jump with Luke. Check out the Billboard piece here.

Meanwhile back in NYC, more and more I’m seeing the growth of drone culture. Drone Racing is at an all time high. The fantasy of drone delivery is becoming a reality. Drone cinematography is the new wave and dronies are the new selfies. If you are into or want to learn more about drones we are putting on a event called Day Of Drones on Wednesday in Brooklyn for Mountain Dew. We still have some space left on RSVP so feel free to sign up and come thru!

But this week i’m in LA for the first ever WORLDZ conference put on by the team behind PTTOW. With top tier speakers it should be an amazing event. They are calling it the Harvard of Culture Marketing and I wouldn’t bet against ‘em. Lets see what they can teach the mayor in this game of music marketing!

Finally I am happy announce our next CRWN event. It’s taking place Monday August 8th at Highline Ballroom with Snoop Dogg in NYC. The event will premiere on MTV2 on August 23rd. I’m so excited to hear Snoop Do-gg talk about many relevant issues in the culture during this 90 minute live sit down. There are still some tickets available to that too. Link is here.

I’ll catch you in the streets, suites or in the Delta Sky Lounge because this week we are on our grind!
